Troubled young artist, Sonny Graves, returns home to confront a broken past in this failed coming of age story involving an ethereal young woman and her tool of transformation, a violet cigarette lighter that illuminates the past, connects the present and brings the shadow to light.
"The heart that drives this project is the belief that it is a dream-but one with purpose. I've abandoned this project almost annually since it's conception; believing it to be "too big," "too hard," or "too much" to make happen on my own.
When I realized that I'm not alone, that there is community and support available, my heart drove me forward to keep writing, to keep believing in FLiCK and what it represents- art that is beyond ego and extends to the community through exposing the conflict BETWEEN the ego and the heart and the transformation birthed from honesty and candor."
